Behind the Brand
Meet Ariel
From the literal womb I was brought up in the things of God. My mom will tell you that she prayed and spoke the Word over me before I was even born! Throughout my life it was very unlikely to have had a conversation with me without the mention of God, as “Ariel” in itself means Lion (or light) of God.
But it wasn’t until an unexpected illness in 2021 that I came face to face with my beliefs in God. Did I really believe what I knew to be true? I grew up in the church, so naturally I learned a lot about God. But was what I learned really the truth? Eventually I found myself in a state of dissonance to which I had to humbly admit… I did not know God as well as I thought I did. I decided that it was time for me to throw out everything that I had been taught and start over. The journey was rough, as I navigated many ups and downs. Yet in the midst of all the complexities of life, I discovered that the things of God are actually… SIMPLE.
I initially got the idea to create this line after my best friend (shoutout to Lexi) randomly suggested that I put something that I said on a shirt! I am known for my straightforward yet funny and quick witted responses, so it seemed very appropriate. However after many failed attempts, I realized that my designs did not reflect my true intention behind creating a shirt line, which was to [simply] express the timeless truths of the Word of God in a sleek and stylish fashion! Much like my journey in rediscovering Christ, I decided to throw out everything I created and start over. That is when I got the revelation to just “keep it simple” because at the end of the day, the Word of God speaks for itself! To my surprise the line came together in a very organic way as I began to combine my own natural style with biblical truths that are not only personal to my own journey, but also need to be echoed in today’s society! To God be the glory!
My prayer is that this line is a blessing to you and those who come in contact with you. Thank you for visiting our store!
